Having worked for quite long in the aviation and travel sector, it seems like a logical step to blog about travel. I have in all likelihood visited nearly every nation in the world and have seen lots of travelers troubled like hell!
Simple and easy things that they could have done to avoid being unhappy. From young couples who carried 5 large suitcases (probably brought all of their condo :)) to family groups (hauling utensils!!), I have seen numerous traveling nightmares. The young couples post travel in all likelihood ended in separation due to the issues they would have encountered at each and every overseas airport!!
Looking after simple and easy stuff can certainly make your journey such a pleasing experience. The primary basic rule you should tattoo on your heads - "Travel Light". That of course does not mean you journey without having the necessities. This implies bring just things which you feel you'll really need on your holiday.
Instead of 10 set of footwear, carry only two. Know what I am talking about! You are the person who will need to lug it all over, open up your luggage at each airport for security inspections, go through the insults of the air port security put down attitude on your face and in all likelihood making comments to have to look inside your things. Re-packing everything on the security counter generally is a nightmare in case you have your own flight in the next Half an hour.
No body enjoys rummaging through your soiled under wear. The least of all you, distressing having your lace under wear being pulled out for inspection in full view of a large number of other travelers.
As many times I stress it, it certainly won't be enough : "Travel Light". You need to follow this golden rule. It is a must do. The lighter you holiday, the more pleasant your vacation will likely be. You will needless to say spend less just about everywhere as well. You won't be forced to pay any thing for additional luggage. You'll be able to pick-up or lug your luggage, will not have to tip the concierge or shell out anything for your suitcases on the bus or train. Get exactly where I am going!
I know many people just travel around for holiday most likely yearly, but trust me life will get uncomplicated if you - "Travel light". This golden rule continues to be my mantra ever since I was 14, when my dad took us on my 1st overseas vacation to India. But more about that in my next post!
Till then, contemplate new ways to reduce things within your bags, don't take in excess of 2 sets of shoes, ditch anything in footwear or dresses that weighs greater than 200grams each pair or 7-8 ounce. Well, I heard that - all of your shoes are out then aren't they? You will need a set of light weight walking shoes and a set of immaculate dress shoes. Most people holiday for 7-10 days overseas. Two sets will be more than sufficient.
If you are going trekking, I will allow you another Two hundred grams!
Cheers until the next one!
ps. don't forget to go look at money belt (light weight remember!!)
